    Galloway Farm’s Maze Craze– Admission to this Corn Maze is $10 for ages 2 and up, under 2 is free. Located at Galloway Farms in Hallsboro NC, attractions include:
    Barrel Train Rides • Mini Hay Bale Maze • Pedal Carts • Spookley story maze • The Fairy Tale Trail • Horse Hoops • Picnic area Interactive Soybean Display • Corn You Find Scavenger Hunt Critter Corral • Aunt Bee’s Gift Shop • Concessions

    Fridays 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    Saturdays 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

    Fort Fisher Fall Festival– Come out to the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area on Saturday October 13th from 11am-3pm for this FREE family friendly fall festival. According to the website The Fort Fisher Fall Festival at the State Recreation Area in Kure Beach, NC, features a family friendly event with spooky programs, Halloween games, a bounce house, a magic show with No Sleeves Magic, educational vendors, arts/crafts table, and a pumpkin decorating/carving contest. Drop off pumpkins the day of the festival and winners need not be present. Prizes for Funniest, Scariest, and Most Original. Food and drink available for purchase from Vittles Food Truck and Mike’s Italian Ice. Click here for more information

    Grissettown Haunted Trail– Grissettown/Longwood Fire & Rescue put on an amazing haunted trail every year. Located in southern Brunswick County, it might be a bit of a hike for those located in Wilmington, but I think it’s worth the drive! Their website states the trail yearly takes in about 3,000 customers from all over the state and has won 2 local awards for the scariest haunted attraction.

    Fri & Sat October 26th & 27th

    Their website states this is not a kiddy attraction, although it is family friendly so use discretion when bringing children. I find it pretty scary myself. Click here to learn more

    Halloween Zombie Apocalypse– According to the Wilmington Tourism Authority:

    There’s something strange going on this Halloween…experience three Saturdays of zombies this October to get you in the Halloween mood. Their 10,000 square foot indoor climate controlled laser gaming area offers action-packed adventures in a complex urban setting with separate buildings of various sizes (two stories in height), passage and tramways and various other structures and obstacles like a full size jeep. This event is for ages 10+

    Dates for the Halloween Zombie Apocalypse are:

    Saturday October 13th
    Saturday October 20th
    Time: 6:30PM, 7:45PM, 8:55PM and 10:05PM

    Children Museum of Wilmington’s Fall Festival– The Childrens Museum Downtown will be hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday October 2oth from 9am-12pm.

    Pricing Information:
    ACM and Anytime Members: FREE
    Weekday Members: $4.87/person
    General Admission: $9.75/person
    Military and Senior: $8.75/person
    Children UNDER 12 months: FREE

    Trick or Treat Under the Sea – Bring the kids trick or treating at the Fort Fisher Aquarium! Daily from 4:30-8 October 25th-27th. According to the Wilmington Tourism Authority This family-friendly event features thrills and gills and includes indoor trick-or-treating, face painting, storytelling and haunted gardens. The whole family can view spooky divers in the massive fish tank and watch the No Sleeves Magic Camp perform as well! Tickets do need to be purchased in advance. Click here for more details.

    Halloween Ghost Trolly and Haunted Barn– According to the Wilmington Tourism Authority:

    Take a ghost ride through downtown Wilmington and enjoy the Haunted Barn experience. Listen to ghost stories tailored for young children, without the gore and violence of today’s Halloween and let your little ones enjoy Halloween the way it used to be. You can preview a video on their website Free treats for children, no reservation required.
