Searching the right way for your next home?

One common mistake many home buyers make is not putting in the right search parameters when looking for that next home.

Here are a couple of quick tips…

    1. If your budget is $200,000 make sure to stretch your search to $225,000 because you may miss a home that is exactly what you want. Remember, sellers sometimes do strange things when they get an offer. It is very possible a home may be overpriced or the seller may negotiate down to a price within you range.

    2. Don’t put in too many wish list items that will narrow your search and get you low results. Keep your search broad and then view the home. I cannot tell you how many times we have a buyer that finds a house that was not on their initial searches because they were being too specific.

    3. When you are searching for homes on make sure to click the heart in the corner of the listing to favorite that property so you can go back and compare houses you like later and also keep track of any price changes or contracts.

    4. When you are searching for homes on you can “save your search” this will prompt you to tell the search if you would like to receive daily or weekly updates of any homes that hit the market in that particular search that you have saved. This is important in our low inventory market where homes are getting snatched up quickly. You dont want to miss out!

These are just a few tips on searching for your next home. If you have questions or want to go see any of the homes you see online just let us know.
