NC Holiday Flotilla

Agent Virginia Yang kicks off the holiday season with the NC Holiday Flotilla. See what she has to say below!!

“The North Carolina Holiday Flotilla takes place each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It is one of my favorite events of the holiday season! It’s the perfect embodiment of our coastal lifestyle, because it’s our version of a holiday parade but it takes place on the water. It’s a fun time to get together with friends to relax and catch up after Thanksgiving. It’s also a perfect excuse to enjoy a hot toddy or warm apple cider while watching festively decorated boats float by. The boat parade ends with what I consider the best fireworks show in our area. I am lucky enough to watch it from a good friend’s pier on Banks Channel. There is no official location to watch the parade, but you can park in the Wrightsville Beach parking lot and walk to a number of viewing points along the parade route, including the Banks Channel Bridge, the two South Harbor Island mini-parks or the west side of Waynick Boulevard.
